A direct booking engine and SEO program that grew commission-free revenue 60% across a boutique hotel group.
Where it started
HotelLux's five boutique properties paid OTAs up to 25% on nearly every booking. Their own site ranked below aggregators for their own hotel names, and its booking form abandoned more guests than it converted.
Rate parity rules meant they couldn't simply undercut OTAs — the direct channel had to win on experience and search visibility.
What we built
We built a direct booking engine with real-time availability, member rates, and add-on upsells, wrapped in an immersive property showcase. An aggressive SEO program targeted destination and property searches with content that outranked the aggregators.
Within eight months, 40+ commercial keywords reached page one and organic became the group's cheapest acquisition channel — direct revenue grew 60% while OTA dependence fell.
